Timberland General Contractors | Building Your Home

Over the past several years, Timberland has been modifying its procedures to help make your building experience an exciting and wonderful one. We have now implemented a new 7 step process to make building your new home a positive and memorable experience. We want you to relax and let our construction professionals build your new home.

To ensure an efficient process, we have arranged a series of meetings with you along the way. Before the excavation of the basement to the final turn of the key, you will play a key role in personalizing your new home. After numerous meetings and customizing your new home, we now begin the construction process:

step 1

Pre-Construction Meeting
Before construction begins, you will receive a booklet containing valuable information needed to build your new home. This booklet will consist of a list of suppliers and sub-trades from which you will need to make your choices, as well as a loose timeframe. It will also consist of a complete set of blueprints in a reduced 8.5x11 leaflet size. We will also have a sales representative available in our nearest model home available for any questions you may have.

step 2

Pre-Construction Meeting
After the frame has been erected, a Timberland construction professional will escort you through the home confirming all components chosen to date and to ask questions regarding the plumbing, heating and electrical steps upcoming.

step 3

Pre-Construction Meeting
Prior to drywall installation, a Timberland construction professional will again give you a guided tour, allowing you to inspect the inner workings of your home, view its quality components, verify optional features you have selected, and ask questions.

step 4

Pre-Construction Meeting
Before your final walk-through, Timberland conducts its own inspection to insure everything is in proper working order and up to quality standards. Any and all repairs are done and the home is thoroughly cleaned in preparation for the pre-delivery inspection.

step 5

Pre-Construction Meeting
When your home is complete, a Timberland service representative will take you on a thorough room-by-room inspection to ensure your satisfaction with the workmanship and materials. If there are any deficiencies, we will fill out a PDI form provided by the Ontario New Home Warranty Program and send it to them for their records.

step 6

Pre-Construction Meeting
Roughly 30 days from the date of possession, we will check back by letter or phone to ensure continued satisfaction.

step 7

Pre-Construction Meeting
Roughly one year from the date of possession, a Timberland service representative will contact you regarding any required warranty work, or answer any questions that you may have.
