Timberland built our first home 6 years ago. At the time we were being very comparative and selective focussing on price, location, customer service, reputation and quality. Timberland turned out to be the right choice and we were pleased from the moment we met with Gino the first time. The entire experience was positive. I should begin by saying that we are friends of Gino's. We assumed that we were receiving spectacular service due to our friendship. After speaking to our neighbours we found out that we did not receive any special treatment due to our friendship - he treats all of his customers that way. I asked the tradespeople what they thought of Gino as as a builder prior to telling them that he was a friend of mine. They all bragged about how much care and pride Gino places in the homes that he builds. It definitely shows! We are both very busy and depended on Gino to work with without any supervision on our part. I have friends who warned me that when they built their home with a different builder, they had to go there every day to make sure that their builder wasn't cutting corners. This is not the case with Timberland. Gino would call and sarcastically give me directions to our home. The service department would email me with updates and we always knew exactly what was going on. When we had any questions or concerns, they were handled immediately with professionalism and courtesy. We were thrilled with the final product. If you are looking for a quality builder that will stand behind his work, call Timberland. If you want to try to save a couple of bucks by finding a builder that will cut corners and ignore you after he cashes your cheque, keep shopping. This is easily the largest purchase we will ever make and we understand that you get what you pay for. I would say that we would build with Timberland again but I would be lying, we love our current home too much to ever think about moving!
